start.me

My personal favorite bookmarking tool is start.me. start.me is a powerful and visual bookmark manager that opens on your new tab page. This way you’ll always have quick access to your favorite sites.

start.me works on all browsers and platforms, without the need to sync your bookmarks. You simply access your bookmarks on a web-page (like my.xmarks.com). Pages are private by default, but you can also easily share them with others.

start.me comes with an elegant design and easy-to-use interface. It has great support for bookmarks, with features like bookmark search, import/export, Broken Link Checker.

Besides bookmarking, it provides a lot of extras, like support for RSS Feeds, Notes and Images. The embed widget allows you to embed any external webpage into your dashboard.

  1. start.me: Bookmarking tool that only syncs to itself (if using two browsers, now you have three lists: the non-sync native lists of each browser, plus the new propietary start.me bookmark list). And the “main page” insists to bring forward its own selection of bookmarks, thereby cancelling the whole purpose of a bookmark sync tool as xmarks was.
